COVID Safe Plan – January 2022

This COVID Safe Plan outlines actions taken to prevent the introduction of coronavirus (COVID-19) to the workplace of Suzanne George and Associates at level 13/200 Queen Street Melbourne.


1. Personal Protective Equipment. The following is to be worn and changed between each client:

· disposable surgical gown

· Tier 1 surgical face mask

PPE will be disposed of in a double-layered plastic bag after each appointment and the bag disposed in general waste.


2. Client screening. Clients will be contacted 24 hours prior to their appointment to confirm that they:

· have no cold or flu-like symptoms

· have not been in contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days or is awaiting a test result

· will agree to wear a fitted face mask to their appointment

· agree to have their temperature taken prior to their appointment

· agree to use hand-sanitiser upon entering the meeting room


3. Clients (and interpreters and family or friends) are to provide proof of full vaccination by way of a myGov vaccination record. They will be required to wear a face mask to their appointment, check in using the QR Code and use hand sanitiser before entering the reception area and consulting room.


4. Physical distancing. Only one client, with an interpreter if needed, will be able to enter the meeting room. Family members or friends are to wait in the reception area or outside the building. Clients will be required to sit opposite and at least 1.5 metres away from the assessing therapist.


5. Preparation for each client:

· surfaces including the table, chairs, door handles and light switch will be wiped with anti-bacterial wipes (>70% alcohol)

· hands to be sanitised using hand sanitiser (>70% alcohol) between each client and after touching door release buttons or lift buttons to access the meeting room

· pens / laptop wiped with anti-bacterial wipes


6. Meeting duration will be 60 minutes maximum.


7. Responding to a suspected or confirmed case.

Upon advice of contact with a confirmed or suspected COVID-19 case, all clients and Opus Workspaces will be notified by telephone and email, encouraging them to get tested for COVID-19 and to self-isolate until results and further advice from DHSS is received. They will be asked to advise Suzanne George of test results. Suzanne George to advise Opus Workspaces of test results.
